Hi, I’m Emma the owner of Essence Beauty training
I gained my beauty qualifications (NVQ levels 2 and 3) in 1999 and have continued to develop my knowledge since then.
After many years of offering training masterclasses I finally took the plunge and embarked on a course to be able to teach Beauty to others. This took me completely out of my comfort zone, I had no idea how to write an essay or even add a reading list when I started and I was terrified that I had made a huge mistake! My motivation took over, I worked hard to push aside my confidence demons and in 2021 I gained my teaching qualification.
My motivation for teaching is based on my own experiences within the Beauty industry. I have been working for a very long time, I have seen trends come and go, I have seen good and bad also. As a Beauty therapist, mentor, business owner and teacher I aim for you to be loaded with the best information, knowledge and understanding of your subject.
As a working mom I find it difficult to train in new treatments, most of them are far away from home and mean that I need to get childcare often resulting in my husband having to take a day off work! This is not ideal which is why I have put together online accredited courses that you can do within your own time and without leaving the house, My accredited courses also allow you to get insurance (through ABT) to perform treatments on others where many other online courses are not insurable. This is the perfect way to start your beauty career or add to your ever expanding knowledge.
